Saturday the 8th was a pretty popular day for Fingerlakes Entertainment. This Saturday I was over in Hector, NY for Josh and Whitney’s Ceremony and Reception at a place called
Standing Stone Vineyards. Unfortunately, these guys don’t specialize in Weddings. Personally, I think they should. Whitney has a relationship withMarty, the Manager at Standing Stone so they were able to have there Ceremony and Reception there. Not only does Standing Stone have a beautiful view of Seneca Lake, but Marty did a great job of putting things together on the venues end to make sure everything went smoothly for Josh and Whitney. With the weather fighting us right up until the Ceremony began, the final result was perfect.
For the Ceremony, we provided a speaker and mic for a guitarist that they had come in to play some acoustical music. His name escapes me but he did a really nice job.

After the Ceremony, Josh and Whitney spent a little while with the photographer while their guests enjoyed a nice cocktail hour. By the end of the Ceremony, the weather had cleared out and it turned out to be a beautiful day.

First Dance - "Dice" by William Orbit
Whitney and Josh chose not to include a bouquet toss or garter removal for their Wedding. We did however have a lot of fun with the cake cutting. Whitney and I had listened to a few options and she opted to go with “Ice Cream and Cake” by the Buckwheat Boyz. Josh didn’t know this particular song was coming but once it started, he caught on quick and started to have some fun with it.
After the cake cutting ceremony, we entered back in to open dance where we stayed for the remainder of the evening.

This Wedding was a great time. There weren’t a lot of people there, but the people that were there brought with them a lot of fun energy. Whitney and Josh also gave me the opportunity to learn a lot of new music as they provided me with a really cool list of requests. Many of the songs I hadn’t heard of before so hunting them down and learning what they were was a lot of fun.
Whitney and Josh – Thank you for inviting Fingerlakes Entertainment out to share your special day with you.
Best wishes,
Jason
