Charles & Brianna 6-21-08
This Saturday we were back out to Heron Hill Winery for Charles and Brianna’s Ceremony and Reception. The Ceremony was held down in the nearby town of Hammondsport. The weather played many tricks on us as it would rain for a bit and then stop for a bit. As we were running sound and microphones for the Ceremony, we paid close attention to the weather. Fortunately for Charles and Brianna, the rain came to an end just in time for the Ceremony. I actually think we only ended up about 10 minutes behind schedule. As soon as the rain stopped, I had my assistant begin setting up the Ceremony system, again, and I headed out and began drying chairs.
It may come as a suprise to anyone who’s read any of my other posts, but I don’t have any pictures of the Ceremony. With the weather playing games like it was, our priority was getting everything else ready to go in order for a smooth Ceremony.
After the “I do’s” Charles and Brianna spent some time with the photographer and my assistant Chris and I headed back up to Heron Hill where we were expecting guests for cocktail hour.
Once the Reception began, all I can say is WoW! This was one reception party that I will never forget. From the Grand Entrances to the after hours party, Charles, Brianna and all there Friends and Family brought a whole new level of energy.
The Reception began with the song “Bleed it out” by Linkin Park for the Grand Entrances. From there, Charles and Brianna wanted to do a choreographed First Dance. We opened their dance with “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton. A mere cover. About a minute in to their first dance, we threw in a record scratch which we all played off as a huge error by the dj, and then threw on “I like big butts” by Sir Mix a Lot. From here, the dance floor and audience belonged to Charles and Brianna. They had rehearsed a choreographed dance to the song and once they began, the laughs filled Heron Hill.
First Dance:
The entire place was decorated in white and pink with some very cool centerpieces.

Center pieces - Beta fish and Bully Hill

Dollar Dance: I posted pictures of this as I thought Charles and Brianna had an interesting idea with it. Instead of standing on the dance floor and having there guests come up and share a dance with them, they opted to go table-to-table for their dollars. It was an interesting way to do things but the guests really seemed to have a lot of fun with it.

First slow dance of the evening. After this dance, we picked the music up a notch and these guys partied for the entire evening. There are a ton of pictures of this event so enjoy!

These guys even had fun with their cake, providing His and Hers cakes for desert. Charles is a motocross racer and brought that concept to his cake, while Brianna was going for the slightly more traditional cake and added her own humor with the cake topper.

And even the cake cutting ceremony turned in to a lot of fun!

Heron Hill has a strict 11:00pm policy where all music must be shut off. Therefore, at 11:00, we shut the music down, but these guys were no where near done. Once we tore down, my assistant and I loaded the van and headed to the Family’s farm about 15 minutes away for an after-hours party, where we continue to party until 2:30am.
We ran a small system for the afterhours party. 2 Mackie SRM450’s, the 1801 sub and a couple of Weidamark wall washers up on a light tree.
The Fingerlakes Entertainment Team all came out for the after-hours party.
Left to Right: Chris, Adam (DJ Laces), Schuyler (DJ Bonus) and Nate (Boolanger).

This was a very long day but proved to be an excellent one. I really enjoyed planning this event with these guys and once the party started, I had lost track of time. We were just having too much fun!
Charles and Brianna, Thank you for inviting Fingerlakes Entertainment out for your big day. We had a blast and hope you and your Friends and Family did as well.
Best wishes to you both!
